The desert is starting to bloom

The ring around the sun is from ice crystals high up in the atmosphere, this signals rain or snow in the next 48 hours.

Believe it or not, you’ll never freeze to death in the desert… dry kindling under every creosote bush and wood in or by washes.

I have to say, if you want to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets… AZ sure has them.

The most awesome part of camping out west is BLM (Bureau of Land Management) public property that you can basically pull up and park then camp there. To bad there isn’t any land like this east of the Mississippi River.

Fish hook barrel cactus can provide water, food and fishing hooks.
